Let’s get one thing straight; Christmas does not start in November. It certainly doesn’t start at the end of September, when some shops wheel out their festive merchandise. It starts in December. In our house, it doesn’t actually start until after Little T’s birthday on the 6th of December.
However, tonight we get a little glimpse of the fistive season, as Coca-Cola, Marks & Spencers & John Lewis pulled out the big guns & showed their Christmas adverts in the breaks of X-Factor. Continue reading
After our fabulous morning looking around the Julia Donaldson exhibition at the Birmingham Museum, we decided to go & look at the new library in Birmingham.
We had a tip off from the waiter where we ate lunch to look out for the bikes outside, but we hadn’t really realised what he meant. Continue reading
Last weekend, we headed to Birmingham with a couple of friends & their daughter to check out the Julia Donaldson Squash & a Squeeze exhibition at the Birmingham Museum. We set off on the train from our local station.

In the summer we built a small raised bed in our garden.
Little T helped & we planted it with mixed salad leaves, herbs, peas, beans & leeks. take the herbs as an example; I seemed to spend a fortune on fresh ones from the supermarket, buying them in much bigger quantities than I needed, just for a small pinch here & there & by the time I went back to use them again they’d be wilted & brown in the bottom of the fridge, so we were also hoping it would save us a little bit of cash.

I have been neglecting my blog for a while. I’m sorry.
If I’m honest, I’ve been neglecting myself for a while too.
I have lost my sparkle. I feel like I’m in a hole & I can’t get out. I am struggling to keep all of my ‘work’, ‘mother’, ‘wife’, ‘friends’, ‘family’ & ‘money’ plates spinning together & feel a bit overwhelmed by life in general. If I haven’ t been at work, I’ve been asleep & that doesn’t leave much time for anything else.
